eTemperature Software: File Location Update

eTemperature from version 8.06 onwards will move the location of the .ini file from “c:program filesonsolutionetemperature” to “c:programdataetemperature”. This should fix security issues where the file was read only for many users.

The saved results will also default to my documentsetemperature or c:programdataetemperature.

We have added a new screen for selecting the location which gives a number of standard options as well as the old ability to select any folder.

And finally, it will also test to make sure that it can create a file in that location. This will hopefully avoid selecting a locked folder.

Most users won’t notice these changes, but for some IT tech support people out there we hope it makes life easier. Our goal is to make temperature logging software easy to use – for all people.
