As we finish the development on our wireless temperature logger, it would appear to me that there are at least 3 distinct markets:

  1. Where the logger is permanently near the computer and the data is always online (e.g. a fridge or freezer)
  2. Where the logger is in transit permanently and periodically returns to a base (e.g. a truck)
  3. Where the logger is sent on a journey and the journey is the important data (e.g. deliveries)

So should one application handle all 3 scenarios, or is dedicated software for each better? Any comments would be appreciated?
